Huddersfield's Academy side travel to Sheffield RUFC on Sunday for the semi-final of the KEITH DYAS YORKSHIRE CUP.

Now confirmed second in the Yorkshire Senior Colts Premier League, Huddersfield face a Sheffield team who are unbeaten in the league below.

Head-coach Jonathan Prescott said: "It’s a difficult game in prospect for us, Sheffield are clearly on a high and used to winning. We will have to be at our very best to get through this semi-final".

But Huddersfield travel in confidence after beating Premier League Champions Old Brods in the last round and Prescott knows that they face an equally stiff test.

He said: "We are in for a great game, two quality teams playing on what will be a good playing surface at Abbeydale. My lads are really looking forward to the challenge".

'Field have only one injury doubt for the weekend, with pacey full-back Lewis Berry a doubt for the game with a knee injury, as the rest of the 22-man squad look to continue their fine away form and end on a high.

Prescott said: "It would be a fantastic and fitting end to this Academy team’s season to reach the final before the team breaks up with a number of players going away to University.

"We’ve had to play the cup run the hard way, every cup game has been away from home, our last home game was way back in November.”

While Huddersfield’s first-team look to go back to the summit of National League III North on Saturday, Prescott urges all HRUFC members to make the journey on Sunday to support the lads as the clubs future looks very bright indeed.

Kick-off is at 1pm.
