'Field trained in Farnley Tyas, due to Lockwood Park being temporarily unavailable and the players were worked hard by the coaches with a series of fitness drills in order to get match-ready for the big kick-off against Chester on September 6th.

New First XV manager Mike Baggs was in attendance at the session and he will have been pleased with the high turnout of players so early in pre-season and with the temperature so high.
